THIS IS THE TIME, THIS IS THE PLACE, WE ARE THE TEAM!

 CORPS ADVISORY COUNCIL NEWS…

Making a Difference at UNG

Donors for the Corps are making a huge impact!  This is what you have accomplished…

  • $900,000 given toward scholarships (2022-2023)

  • $5 million raised to build a new Military Science Center

  • $169,157 was given for Operations (Ranger Challenge Program, Mountain Order of Colombo, Aggressor Platoon, Golden Eagle Band, Blue Ridge Rifles, F.R.O.G. week, etc.)

There are a million reasons why I have fallen in love with the University of North Georgia and the Corps of Cadets, but truly generous alumni, like yourself, have made it all the more real of how proud I am to come from such a prestigious Corps and University. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
— Cadet William N.

We invite all alumni to join us in making a difference!

First meeting with UNG President Dr. Mike Shannon:

  • We were challenged to put on our running shoes and get ready to work!

  • Tell our story…WE ARE THE ARMY’S SENIOR MILITARY COLLEGE!

  • Be the best in the land!

  • What makes us unique?

  • If we closed today, would our community and our nation feel the results?

  • Create an environment to educate our cadets for the future!

Challenge from our chairman, Gen. Terry:

  • Mission: Our mission has three essential tasks: 1) Fund the Corps, 2) Advise the Corps, and 3) Advocate for the Corps, in order to Grow our Cadet Corps.

  • Vision: Support the Growth of our Cadet Corps beyond the current goal of 850 Cadets, to 1,000 Cadets and set conditions for growth to 1,250 Cadets. This requires the people, infrastructure, and equipment to support 1,000 Cadets by EOY 2026, with an understanding of requirements for growth to 1,250 Cadets by 2029.

From James Corbin, Corps of Cadets Director of Development:

  • Shared the statistics of giving for 2022-2023

  • Presented the Seasons of Giving chart to help all committees plan

Why we serve of the Corps Advisory Council…

  • We are volunteers committed to assuring that the Corps of Cadets continue to be the most outstanding military preparation program in the nation.  Out cadets show us day in and day out that they are committed to leadership, protecting our nation, and developing teams to accomplish the Army’s goals.

  • We know that the future will be in the hands of those attending this university today and we want to help them “Be All You Can Be”!

We would love to have you apply to be a part of this great council.  We can assure you that you can and will make a difference by being a part of us!
