Our Purpose
UNG’s students remain the core of the University of North Georgia Foundation, Inc.’s purpose. It is a special responsibility and calling to support students’ journey to realize their potential and to prepare them for career success or continued education. While UNG remains nationally recognized for affordability and value, one of the barriers to education for many students in our area is cost. Because of the loyalty and generosity of our alumni and friends, many financial barriers have been removed, providing students the freedom to grow into the next generation of leaders.

Our Mission
The University of North Georgia Foundation, Inc. supports the mission of the University of North Georgia by promoting philanthropy from all constituents, managing and investing its assets responsibly, providing financial assistance for students, faculty and staff, and serving in an advisory role to the President of the University.
Strategic Initiatives
To raise private funds from alumni, friends, corporations and charitable foundations to support the Mission and Vision of the University of North Georgia and to fulfill its obligations as The Military College of Georgia and the University System of Georgia’s designated Leadership Institution.
To provide merit and need-based scholarships to students seeking access to certificate, associate, baccalaureate, or graduate programs.
To support educational initiatives and activities of all students, faculty and staff to include both high-impact learning experiences and learning support for student success.
