Leaders building Leaders.

Our Purpose

The University of North Georgia’s students remain the core of our purpose. It is a special responsibility and calling to support our students’ journey to realize their potential and to prepare them for career success or continued education. While UNG remains nationally recognized for affordability and value, one of the barriers to education for many students in our area is cost. Because of the loyalty and generosity of our alumni and friends, many financial barriers have been removed, providing our students the freedom to grow into our next generation of leaders. Thank you to all of our donors for making a difference at UNG!

Areas of Support

UNG Softball Team Championship

“Our faculty and staff share a deep commitment to our students and work diligently to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge, skills and resume-building experiences to be successful in the classroom and beyond. UNG has served this region, Georgia and our nation well for 150 years, and our momentum is propelling us toward even greater prominence as a leading public university.”

— Dr. Michael “Mike” P. Shannon, President, University of North Georgia
