Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Saturday, September 28
Arrival: Private transfer from the UNG Gainesville Campus to the Atlanta Airport. Fly into Westchester County Airport (HPN), White Plains, New York. Private transfer to Hotel Nyack.
Check-in at Hotel Nyack: 400 High Ave., Nyack, New York 10960, for one night in upstate New York’s urban oasis, boasting a stylish and vibrant space with local artwork and luxury amenities.
Evening: Unwind with a relaxed yet refined dining experience at FARM, Hotel Nyack's renowned restaurant, featuring farm-to-table dishes with a focus on local produce and sustainable seafood. Includes: Plated or buffet dinner with entrée, sides, and dessert.
Day 2: Sunday, September 29
Morning: Check-out of Hotel Nyack. Private transport to West Point.
Afternoon: Visit the United States Military Academy at West Point for a special program, followed by private transport to Manhattan hotel.
Check-in at The Park Central Hotel: 870 7th Ave., New York, NY 10019, conveniently across from Carnegie Hall in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, offering classic hospitality, complete comfort and a celebrated past.
Evening: Group dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte, an enchanting dining experience that transports you to an Italian artist's studio, with sculptures, paintings and a unique gallery. Includes: Three course dinner, iced tea, hot tea, and coffee.
Day 3: Monday, September 30
Morning: Guided tour at the Museum of Broadway, a new Midtown must-see interactive and experimental museum that pays tribute to the rich history of Broadway, including behind-the-scenes props, artifacts, and rare costumes.
Evening: Group dinner at Redeye Grill, a New York Brasserie known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu. Includes: Three-course dinner, iced tea, hot tea, and coffee.
After Dinner Show: Evening performance on Broadway, Chicago or The Great Gatsby. Includes tickets to the show.
Day 4: Tuesday, October 1
Morning: Private tour of Carnegie Hall with expert docents sharing stories about the landmark venue’s history, architecture, and famous performances.
Evening Alumni and Friends Gathering: Gather at 5:30 PM for pre-concert drinks and meal at the New York classic, Serafina. Enjoy homestyle Italian fare while mingling in a casual-cool ambiance. Included.
8 PM Highlight Performance: Experience the grandeur of a concert at the iconic Carnegie Hall in the beautiful Weill Recital Hall as The Crown Mountain Trio, featuring UNG's esteemed music faculty, takes the stage. Formed in 2023, this award-winning ensemble – comprised of Dr. Philip Snyder (cello), Ms. Yeasol Kang (violin), and Ms. Mengyao Sun (piano) – winners of the 2024 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, has captivated audiences across the Southeast.
Day 5: Wednesday, October 2
Departure: Private transfer to NYC airport for your journey home.
