COL Jack Peevy Cadet Admission’s Scholarship
My father served in the United States Army for over 30 years, including time spent posted at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, where I was born. Three years after, my adoption was finalized and my family moved to Australia and then Madison, Alabama, where we currently reside. I am a sophomore cadet, pursuing a degree in Strategic and Security Studies with a concentration in International Affairs.
I am inspired by my father and all the other he served alongside, and this is what drove me to want to serve as well. The moment I stepped onto UNG’s campus and later attended NLC (National Leadership Challenge), I knew the University of North Georgia would be the path to my dream of becoming an officer in the U.S. Army.
Receiving scholarships have helped me and my family financially, however, most importantly, it has introduced me to so many individuals who have become mentors and leaders in my college experience.
“Thank you for helping to ensure a bright future not only for me, but for many more deserving young people that have a dream to serve our great nation and choose UNG as their path.”

“Just as important as the leadership and academic impact of the University of North Georgia are the life-long friendships which have been formed and nurtured over the years. My college friends and I share a closeness that can only be experienced by going to the University of North Georgia.”
