Commemorative Brick Pavers Project - Colonel Ben Purcell Formation Plaza

The University of North Georgia and the Corps of Cadets offer a beautiful, modern military housing district on the Dahlonega campus. Located in the center of this district, and adjacent to all Gaillard, Patriot, & Liberty Halls, is a Cadet unit formation area dedicated in April 2012 as the “COLONEL BEN PURCELL FORMATION PLAZA. The plaza honors the legacy of COL Purcell’s outstanding service to our nation and to the men and women of our armed services and their families. The center of the formation plaza features a large Boar’s Head Crest in granite, surrounded by approximately 2,400 brick pavers.

YOU CAN BE PART OF THE PURCELL FORMATION PLAZA

While a commemorative marker at the site recognizes the contributions of Colonel Ben Purcell, you too can place a commemorative marker in your name, to honor an alum, Cadet, or other member of the Corps of Cadets family. You may also purchase a Mini-Replica-Paver, a 2” x 4” x 1” copy of your commemorative marker, to be displayed in your home/office, or provided to the person or family you have honored.

COST: $250 per Paver;  $40 per Mini-Replica Paver.
Note: The Mini-Replica-Option is also available for previously purchased and installed Pavers.

Use the link below to order a Paver and Mini-Replica-Paver. Proceeds benefit the Corps of Cadets Fund which provides annual operational support to the entire Corps. The Corps Advisory Council is committed to completing the plaza by having each commemorative brick paver engraved in the square area surrounding the granite rendition of the Boar’s Head Crest.
